Tanya Funk
Co-Founder, President & CEO
As the co-founder, President, and CEO of Organitek, Tanya Funk brings nearly two decades of experience as a cannabis industry veteran with a proven track record of delivering cutting-edge solutions to market.
Her journey began with early ventures like Rocket Plasma, where she pioneered innovative plasma lighting technology with U.S.-based manufacturing. She went on to consult for hundreds of projects, advising some of the most advanced and successful cannabis companies in the country. This extensive background and deep network allowed Tanya to see a clear need for a company built on true scientific innovation and consistent, high-quality inputs.
At Organitek, Tanya is the steward of scientific vision and strategic leadership. She directs research and development across a high-impact product portfolio that includes next-generation mineral-based nutrients, YetiControl (the evolution of the renowned Mammoth CannControl), and proprietary evolved microbial solutions. Her role is focused on empowering growers with products that set the standard for quality, efficiency, and affordability.
Tanya founded Organitek on the belief that the cannabis industry’s success hinges on genuine scientific advancement and grower support. What excites her most is seeing products in action and the measurable impact they have on cultivators’ yields and success.
Beyond her work in cultivation science, Tanya is an avid fan of funk music. True to her name, you can often find her front row at a show, dancing to the groove.

Jeff Funk
Lead Cultivator, Farm Relations & Sales
Jeff Funk is Organitek’s Lead Cultivator, bringing decades of hands-on growing experience and deep-rooted agricultural knowledge to the team. A third-generation farmer, Jeff began cultivating cannabis in 1999, spending several seasons “on the hill” in California’s famed Emerald Triangle — trimming, bucking, curing, and occasionally dodging helicopters.
In 2019, after marrying Tanya and selling their own farm, Jeff shifted from cultivation to nutrient production. Together, they purchased property north of Lake Tahoe, which has since become the Organitek Ranch — the heartbeat of the company’s research and operations. At the Ranch, Jeff ensures that pumps run smoothly, water stays pure, and plants thrive. He also spends countless hours in the R&D garden observing, notating, and fine-tuning for bigger, healthier yields.
He is happy to help growers, new and old, with any questions that may arise with customers using the feed chart, just give him a call!
When he’s not at the ranch, you can find "Captain Funk," at the helm of the largest catamaran on Lake Tahoe—balancing a life-long passion for cultivation with his love for the lake.

His unique mix of precision, adaptability, and hands-on know-how makes him a perfect fit for Organitek’s production team.
After following his in-laws to the High Sierras, Christian quickly found his stride in cultivation and production — proving himself to be a fast adapter in an ever-changing industry. His approach combines attention to detail with a big-picture understanding of what it takes to keep quality and consistency at the forefront.
Outside the lab, Christian is an avid bodybuilder. The discipline and consistency he applies to training carry over into his daily operations, giving him the focus and determination to keep Organitek’s production running at peak performance.

Greg Lusson
Marketing & Social Media Manager | Brand Builder
Better known as “Garlic Greg”, Greg Lusson brings a unique blend of entrepreneurship, creativity, and community spirit to his role as Marketing and Social Media Manager at Organitek.
Before joining the team, Greg and his wife Kayla founded Pine Cone Kitchen, an artisan venture producing black garlic — the origin of his now-famous nickname. That project became both a local favorite and a launching pad for Greg’s passion for branding and storytelling.
Greg’s path has been anything but ordinary. After managing a dispensary for two years, he was unexpectedly stranded in Kenya during the global COVID lockdown, spending eight months abroad before returning to the High Sierras. Upon his return, he launched Pine Cone Kitchen, and that entrepreneurial drive eventually led him to Organitek.
Today, Greg channels that same energy into building Organitek’s voice, connecting with growers, and celebrating the culture that Jeff and Tanya created. He describes himself as “lucky to contribute to an industry I really love with people i really love” — one where community building and cultivation science meet.
Outside of work, Greg is a passionate storyteller, community builder, and local personality, often blending humor, resilience, and creativity into everything he does.

Michelle Sams
Customer Service & Client Relations
With more than 15 years in the cannabis industry, Michelle Sams brings a wealth of experience and a passion for helping people grow. She spent three years working at a grow store before transitioning into cannabis accounting, where she built over a decade of expertise in managing the financial side of cultivation businesses.
At Organitek, Michelle handles customer service and client relations with a hands-on, solutions-driven approach. She manages calls and emails, drives sales, reconnects with former customers, and takes care of long-term clients. Michelle also coordinates samples, creates invoices, follows up on payments, and has recently added booking freight to her responsibilities. Known as someone who “just gets things done,” she’s quick to step in and support wherever she’s needed.
What brought Michelle to Organitek is the people and the mission. She values being part of a passionate team dedicated to helping growers succeed. For her, cannabis isn’t just a career — it’s a cause, rooted in its medical benefits and its ability to improve lives.
Outside of work, Michelle loves baking and has recently taken up sourdough bread making. While it requires patience and dedication, she finds the process as rewarding as the results.

Wendy Bloxsom
Bookkeeper | Accounts Payable & Receivable
Wendy Bloxsom brings more than 20 years of bookkeeping and office management experience to Organitek, having worked across construction, wholesale manufacturing, the ski industry, and hospitality. Her career has been built on precision, accountability, and a steady hand in keeping operations running smoothly.
At Organitek, Wendy manages accounts payable and receivable, ensuring the financial side of the business stays organized and efficient. She originally joined the company inspired by Tanya’s passion for sustainable agriculture, her belief in the science behind the products, and her dedication to producing quality over chasing profit margins.
Cultivation runs deep in Wendy’s family — her grandfather was a potato farmer in Colorado’s San Luis Valley. Today, she carries that tradition forward with her own love for gardening, flowers, and soil health, especially through composting. Working with sustainable fertilizers feels like a natural extension of her personal passions.
Wendy works remotely, but she makes her presence known: at just 4’11”, she’s like a stick of dynamite — small in size, but with a big impact.
